Halo Call Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Halo Call’s website and mobile application (the “Services”). By using Halo Call, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility:
You must be at least 18 years old to use Halo Call. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. Description of Services:
Halo Call provides user-initiated personal safety tools, including:
- Discreet call and alert features
- Trusted contact notifications
- Optional SOS functionality
- Halo Call is not an emergency service and does not replace 911 or local emergency responders.
3. SMS Consent & Opt-In Language
SMS Communications & User Consent
By using the Halo Call platform, you acknowledge and agree that we may send you SMS text messages related to your use of the service, including but not limited to: safety alerts, emergency communications, account notifications, and support messages.
- You may opt-in to receive SMS messages by:
- Entering your phone number on our website or app during account setup
- Agreeing to receive alerts via a consent checkbox
- Sending a specific keyword (such as “HALO”) to our designated phone number
By opting in, you provide express consent to receive text messages from Halo Call. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying “STOP.” For help, reply “HELP.”
We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to third parties. All communications are subject to our Privacy Policy and Term of Use.
4. User Responsibilities:
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes
- Obtain consent before adding someone as a trusted contact
- Not misuse or abuse the alerting features
- You are solely responsible for how and when you use Halo Call.
5. No Emergency Guarantee:
Halo Call does not guarantee that alerts, calls, or notifications will be received, acted upon, or result in assistance. Network availability, device limitations, and third-party services may affect performance.
6. Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Halo Call shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, including failure to receive alerts or respond to emergencies.
Use of Halo Call is at your own risk.
7. Intellectual Property:
All content, branding, logos, and software related to Halo Call are the property of Halo Call and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.
8. Termination:
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.
9. Changes to Terms:
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law:
